Joel Ekman former drummer for Stone Sour and his new band Isaac James have teamed up with Twilight 2 Dawn, a foundation to help struggling musicians, for a benefit show at The Pig in Independence Missouri.

Isaac James, named after Ekman’s son who passed away from Brain cancer in 2006 is comprised of, Chris “Blackie” Starks - Guitar/Vocals (former member of Karma and Field of Grey), Gil Cole – Guitar/Vocals, John Lillard – Bass, and Joel Ekman – Drums/Vocals. Currently working on their first EP release “Too Much Horsepower”, Isaac James is forging a new path of it’s own promising to “Bring back raw energy rock to the stage, reminiscent of the rock greats that we all grew up on”. The band sports a collective portfolio of two Grammy Nominations, and a song on a NASCAR CD that just might be the foundation to make this statement come true.
