Troy has been playing, thinking and writing about music since sometime in the last century. His 2001 method book, Meditations for the Modern Guitarist, is a volume of utmost obscurity. In addition to giving over 20,000 lessons, Troy has done varied studio work, contributed compositions to independent films and released several CDs.
